MODELL”S TEAM WEEK
From October 26, – November 22, 2007, save 10% on regular and sale priced merchandise at any Modell’s location during Clifton’s Team Weeks. This event is a fundraiser for the Clifton Recreation Department. Coupons will be available at the Clifton Recreation Department office, 900 Clifton Ave 2nd floor, beginning in early October.
DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ON ICE TRIP
On Tuesday, November 20th the Clifton Recreation Department will be sponsoring a family trip to Continental Airlines Arena, for Disney’s High School Musical on Ice. The show is a live fusion of songs, dance, and team-spirited fun. This new ice show, starring a cast of world-class skaters, is one of the hottest phenomenons and is only on tour for a limited time. Ticket cost is $28.00 per person. The ticket cost includes transportation and general admission. Trip leaves from in front of Clifton City Hall 6:00 p.m. and returns approximately 10:30 p.m. Register by November 6th.
10TH ANNUAL 5-K STAMPEDE THROUGH CLIFTON
the event will be conducted on Sunday, November 18th beginning 9:00 a.m. sharp for runners and walkers. Events will begin at the Clifton City Hall Complex / Lester Herrschaft Center. After the race, there will be a raffle for great prizes as well as our annual turkey giveaway. Visit the various booths of health professionals as you enjoy some healthy snacks.
FALL CONCERT SALUTE TO THE VETERANS
Get ready for an event you will never forget! This Fall Concert will be conducted on Wednesday, November 28th beginning 7:00 p.m. at Clifton High School. The Concert is a special tribute to the Veterans and their families. This year we will be honoring Purple Heart Recipients. Please bring non-perishable food items as your admission ticket into the concert. Financial donations are always welcomed and will be used to purchase turkeys and additional items needed to make Thanksgiving food baskets for the needy.

HOLIDAY DOOR DECORATING CONTEST
Enter the City of Clifton's Holiday Door Decorating Contest by decorating your door. Register by Friday, December 7th to participate. Judging will take place throughout the following week. Winners will be contacted by phone. All participants receive a small gift for entering the contest. The grand prize will go to the door that is awarded the “Best in Town” title.
CANDY CANE HUNT
On Saturday, December 8th the Recreation Department along with the Clifton National League will sponsor a Candy Cane Hunt for youth ages 2 – 12 beginning 11:00 a.m. sharp at Surgent Park (In case of inclement weather the event will take place at the Community Recreation Center. (Call (973) 470-5680 for weather related event updates.) Pre-registration at the Recreation Department is required and there is a $1.00 fee. All pre-registered participants will receive supplies to make their own collection bag plus a coupon for a hot chocolate, cookies and supplies to make a candy cane craft. Santa Claus will also be at the hunt to visit with the children; so, bring a bag and be ready to collect your candy canes.
